Air Commodore ® Ghulam Mujaddid

I have had a full 33 years long career in Pakistan Air Force as fighter pilot. Retired in 2011 at the rank of Air Commodore. I have three MSc degrees in Defence and Strategic Studies- all during my PAF career. I have been on the faculty of PAF Air War College, Karachi and National Defence University, Islamabad, where I was HoD Department of Strategic and Nuclear Studies. 

I completed my PhD degree in Strategic Studies in 2018 from QAU. I have been Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad. I have taught strategic studies at Air University Islamabad since 2015, after serving as it's Registrar from June 2013-July 2015. I have worked and taught as Acting Dean/HoD of Faculty of Aerospace and Strategic Studies, Air University from July 2015 to October 2020; and as Senior Faculty till my retirement in 15 January 2022. In March 2018, I completed my PhD degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from Qauid i Azam University, Islamabad. 

Since 16 March 2022, I am teaching as Associate Professor of IR at Muslim Youth University Islamabad. My endeavour is to become a good researcher and academic in strategic, security and air power studies and state-society issues.
